Beautiful Toilets~Yokohama Ver.

Hello~

Japanese toilets are so clean and beautiful.
Today I'll show you my favorite toilets in Yokohama where I live.

Yokohama is the city in Kanagawa prefecture.
It is a harbor city.
There are many beautiful places.
I love Yokohama:)

In yokohama station, there are many shopping centers.
  1. Joinus
  2. Takashimaya
  3. Sogo
  4. OIOI(Marui)
  5. Skybuilding
  6. Lumine
  7. Porta
  8. Vivre
  9. Mores
  10. Bayquarter

The shopping center is usually the same thing.
There are mainly Girls and women cloth shops, some men shop, foods and restaurants.

Takashimaya and Sogo is a bit classic and elegant.
The others are pop and casual.

But........

There is TOILET WARS!!!!!!

This is toilet in Joinus 2F.
Joinus has many toilets but I think this 2F toilet is most beautiful and comfortable toilet.
The toilet is normal but powder room is nice.
There are three chairs and you can makeup.
But if you want to use bigger powder room, you can use B2F in Joinus.
I think the powder room at B2F is biggest powder room in Yokohama......

This beautiful toilet is in Lumine.
Lumine has really beautiful toilets.
I don't think it's toilet but art!!!!

This picture is 1F in Lumine.

You can try some products in the toilets like a  hand soap or hand cream.
The products if you like them you can buy in Lumine.

I think this is really good system.

Lumine has beautiful toilets but Skybuilding has good equipment.

This toilets are 10F and 11F in skybuilding.
There are television, fitting room, and dryer.
I 've never seen the television working.... but there is television.

and

The toilets are good smell.
I think allmost all of the toilets in yokohama building smell nice.
But the toilets in skybuilding is the best.
Or Mores.

Mores changes the smell every mouth.
They use harb and  make the room as relax space.

In skybuilding, 10F and 11F, there are casual and reasonable food shops.
28F and 29F, there are classic and high class restaurants.
So the style of toilets are different.

And the view from 28F and 29F is so beautiful.
I think when the fireworks take place in yokohama, skybuilding restaurants are really busy .

Toilets are so beautidul and comfortable in Japan.
I always remember this feeling when I come back from other countries.

If the toilet is beautiful, people feel happy.
Even my dog, she doesn't do pee if I don't clean her toilet seats.
Maybe toilet wars can make people happy ☆★

Botton Toilet~ Old Japanese style toilet

Shinobazonoike

Today I'll show you about Old Toilet.
In Ueno, japan,  there is a Shitamachi Museum.
Shitamatichi means the old part of the city.
So this museum shows the old part of Japan.

I want to introduce Ueno first.
Ueno is nice town.
There is a famous zoo in Ueno, called Ueno zoo.
The Shitamachi museum is near the zoo.

There is also American street.
There are many shops and bars.
But I don't know about this area so much...

Many parks and nice views.

From Shibuya, it is about 30mins.

The museum is really nice.
First, it is cheap.
Adult is 300yen
Child is 100.
It is because the museum is small.

But if you have an interest in Japanese history, it would be perfect☆

This is an old washing machine.
I really appreciate you who invent washing machine.
But maybe it is good for environment.
If we don't want to wash so much because of hard work,
it would be nice for ecology.

In japan, people who have small boobs are called "Sentakuita"
(As tease them about their small boobs)
Sentakuita means washing board.

This is really bad name.

So please don't use it for your friends or stranger.

This is a Cheap Candy Shop.
We call it " Dagashiya"

There are some shops in Tokyo and Yokohama.

You can buy almost every candy with under 100yen.

This is an old rice cooker.
This cylkinder is made from bamboo.
You can exhale deeply from this bamboo for making fire.

Lately Japanese rice cookers are so expensive.
The average cost is around 100,000...?
But this old rice cooker is best machine.

This is so beautiful right?
They are strings for shoe.
Name is Hanao.
Long time ago, when japanese people still wore Kimono,
they put Zouri or Geta which is look like beach sandal.
This is the strings for Zouri or Geta.

I can understand every generation wants to be fashionable.
Now we have many choices.
But long time ago, they don't have little, but even little they wanted to be different from others.

Now I'll show you old toilet!!!! Yeah~haha

This is old japanese toilet.

We call this type of toilets "Botton Benjyo".
My grandmother's house's toilet was Botton.
But it was not like this but look like normal toilet.

I heard a story from my grandmother about botton.
It was so scary stuff because the hole was deep and darty.
If you fall dawn, it would be nightmare....
Down down down.....
I am in pooder land.....

I'll show you this toilet.

The holder is to use for washing your hands after toilet.
Inside toilet, there is no light.
So it would be so so bad when you wanted to do at midnight.
Even now I don't want to go to a toilet at midnight.
I couldn't find any paper, but I asked my gramma and she said she used news paper.

Farmers used poo as their fertilizer for rice.
So they came house once in a week or two and took poo out.
But funny or unfunny, the farmers were paying not people who did poo but the house's  landloads.
So the landloads were really rich.
and people who did poo was poor because they couldn't make money even from their poo.
So sometime they got angry at the system and they stoped useing their toilets.
I don't know where they did poo instead....
But this is

Poo strike!!!

Toilets are so important thing any time;)

This toilets are not only japan but I think all asian countries had the same type of toilets.
I have seen this type in Korean dramas.

Japanese bar~ Izakaya

Hello~
I went to an Izakaya which is japanese style bar.
There are many kind of drinks like cuctails or Japanese Sake.
Food and drinks are cheap.
Foods are also full of variety.
Chinese food
Korean food
Western food
Of course Japanese food.

But!!!
Izakayas have not only variety of foods and drinks but their toilet equipment.

The picture is inside of toilet.
Usually Izakaya or nice restaurants have some equipment in their toilets.

  • Toothpick
  • Cotton swab

I can see frequently Tooth pick and Cotton swab in the shops.
Cotton swab is really useful for Re makeup.

Sometime I can see
  • Mouthwash( small paper cups for mouthwash)
  • Candy
  • Comb
  • Aburatorigami
  • sanitary pad

Aburatorigami is a traditional Japanese facial oil blotting paper. ( information from Wiki)
Most famous Aburatorigami is in Kyoto,  the shop name is Yojiya.

Japanese Izakaya 's toilets are really comfortable.
But I think the shops especially bars are better if they have clean toilets,
Of course it is no wonther that they should have good food and drinks.
But people drink alot and naturally want to go to toilet alot.
and if they can use toilet comfortably, they want to stay longer..... I think.

Anyway, If you have oppotunity to come to Japan, please try to find Izakaya and enjoy dinner and check the toilets!!!!!!!!

This toilet is made by TOTO which is famous japanese toilet company.

This is functions of my toilet.
We call Wash let.... means automatic washing bum, ass, ??
At the upper left, OSHIRI means bum in Japanese and you can feel strongest wash.
At the below left, YAWARAKA means gentle in Japanese and you can feel gentle wash.
At the upper right, SHI means stop in japanese and you can stop the wash let.
At the below right BIDE means bidet in French and usually women use this.

Japanese Toilets are so nice. Sometime they are too nice.
